ISTD: Eye Witness, Typographic Installation

A typographic installation for The British Museum, depicting the journal of Arthur Bowes Smyth. Telling the story of the first convicts going over to Australia. 
The final installation, extracts from the text on the walls and a sculpture in the shape of the bottom of the paper boats. Also includes hanging paper boats with extracts from the text. People can take away the boats with a tag on as a limited edition piece.

Limited Edition Piece, The boats are hung from the ceiling and each boat has a different piece of type from the chosen extract on. They are also tagged with the name of a convict so that you can tell those are the ones that are allowed to be taken away. This also tells brief information about the convict and they are all different making it more personal to the user.
