As a brewer and vintner, I get to have some fun with my own labels. Most of these were commissioned projects for friends and clients. The cover is Cheatin' Dog MartzenBier featuring my Labradoodle Roadie and my Lassapoo Moxie plus my printmaking partner's Shnauzers...I don't mind that they drink and gamble while I'm away, but the cheating really breaks my heart. Zen Zin is for my roots in the California, Old Vine Zinfandel is what they grow where I am from...It tastes like home. Iron Ship Oatmeal Stout is in honor of one of my ancestors who built the Canonicus Class Ironsides during the Civil War. Kali Ma is for my friend Gabby, it's a die-cut full wrap around the bottle, she is the model.
