Kosmo Studios designed and fabricated the entire surf site for the Quiksilver Surf Pro held in New York. Despite having to survive an earthquake, a hurricane, and a complete flooding of Long Beach, we managed to have everything in place by the time Kelly Slater and the other top-ranked surfers arrived. Kosmo utilized used 40' shipping containers to stay within the green/recycle theme of the event. The containers were stacked 3 high (30') and finished out like high end lofts complete with full wall glass windows, casework, lockers, couches, and plenty of TV's.
This was the first ever surfing event that provided lockers, showers, lounges, and first class treatment for the surfing superstars. We apologize to the rest of the surfing events for setting the bar so high...but it was about time to treat these world class athletes like the dignitaries that they are!
