Venture North Productions (VN) is a full events company with licensing – developed by the organising team behind Quest Festival and Gingerworks based in Hanoi, Vietnam. They act as booking agents for local and international artists, musicians, and performers, as well as developing and producing festivals such as Quest, and various events in and around Hanoi. Through their experience producing festivals such as Quest, and various events in Hanoi, VN sets itself apart from “the norm” by building unique and bespoke events that showcase local and international talent in the south-east Asian region.
The brand identity needed to communicate its association with sound and visual concept production to a wide audience, including independent artists, performers and managers, and quite importantly, local and international corporate clients. An important feature of the brand name is the acronym VN, which Vietnamese locals can immediately relate to, and so the logo was developed using the shapes of the letterforms to create a soundwave. The branding visuals use imagery of waveforms in liquid, referencing the concept of cymatics – the phenomena of visual sound vibrations.
