"Serenity"

 

This was a tracing paper and ink layered project in stippling. It was another of the works I submitted to SCAD for my drawing portfolio. When I look into the strong, calm face of most horses it reminds me of the strength and serenity of those seeking enlightenment. The picture seemed a natural conclusion to me.

 

I like that the layered effect adds a dreamy quality and I may do a projet like this in the future.

 

Serenity names the horse, but also the piece as a whole. She reminds us, like the temple, that her very existence that high up requires perseverence, stability, and patience.
