A series of hand-embroidered postcards made for the Pameran Poskad 2015 exhibition.

One of the things I do when I travel is to send home a postcard to myself when visiting new places. In the same thread, this series of postcard-sized artworks are embroidered memory snippets from my travels.

The exhibition was held at Gillman Barracks from 19 - 22 November 2015.

Early morning walks reveals a quiet residential district, quite different from the busy Shinjuku I thought I knew.

In the chilling winds that prevented even birds from flying straight, we stopped by the convenience store to buy a drink to keep our hands warm.

On tip toes, we peeked through the gaps of the palace walls. The changing of guards ceremony brought me back to the Joseon era.

Originally a drawing done in the guestbook of the old house we stayed in at Taichung. Staying in a residential area, it was really travelling through the back door.
