I turned this pepper mill out of a piece of Cherry wood that I've had for several years now.  I sanded up from 150 to 800 grit and finished with 3 coats of spray lacquer.  I also played around with the pepper mill chucky from Rubber Chucky Products...It's a really neat jig and was handy while turning this.
