Ouro Apparel branding

Welcome!

OBJECTIVE:
To create a brand that conveys a clean style that also has a rough edge. The brand offers a way for people to renew themselves, start with a refreshing wardrobe that is stylish, high quality and affordable.
RESEARCH:
Competitors like Calvin Klein, American Eagle, and Aeropostle brand their clothing with a unique logo to start off, price range is high for what they offer and their clothing from there is cycled through out collections, seasonal items, underwear, and separate gender clothing.

CONCEPT AND SOLUTION:
When people think of Ouro, I want them to think clean, stylish, high quality, and affordable. This combats the Calvin Klein, and American eagle type brands that have stylish clothing, but they usually over price their wares.
What better way to start anew by buying unique, affordable and awesome clothing?!

My logo went through many iterations, from more rough styles to incorporating the wings of a dragon and eventually, I ended up with the cleaner serpentine look with the stylized font.
The website was made in mind that the cityscape would make people feel a sense of awe and wonder as if arriving to a brand new city, while it is also tinted to give a type of muted feeling.

BRAND MESSAGE:

Destroy and renew.

The brand message was to introduce Ouro, a brand that appeals to people that are looking to obtain new affordable and stylish clothing. The brand name was derived from the Ouroboros, which in mythology is a serpent that is in a constant cycle of destroying and rebirth. It is pictured perpetually eating it's own tail. The Ouro brand represents the serpent and  its cyclical existence.

TARGET MARKET:
Young adults who are in to unique styles and fashions that aren't willing to pay ludicrous prices for clothing.
