From stereotomic to tectonic.

Two contrasting volumes, each seeking to portray the concepts of view under which they were developed . An aesthetic and structurally heavy, strong and with a materiality that reflects its concept of mass , with subtracted areas to create spaces belonging to a whole -stereotomic- , and one that reflects otherwise. Light, free and with skins that protect their spaces -tectonic- . Both coexist in the same area in perfect harmony and both built by the concept of Operational Design.

Operational Design is a language that evokes the shape and at the same time, the experience or interaction of the inhabitant with it, while introducing the possibility of spacial understanding through subtractions, additions and movements.
Therefore , the two houses emerged from the application of a series of spatial verbs that gradually transformed the base volume to finally create the spaces that each one handles. Each of these operations is used as a tool for spatial and formal interpretation, that when it unifies, enriches both the design process and the architectural proposal.
