While researching for a good map design project, we found out that the city of Monterrey, México is in need of a comprehensive bus route map which connects to the metro. There wasn’t any map at all that had all the routes of the system. Online, you could find only 3 outdated route maps and for the others you had to either get on the bus, call the office or ask around to know where the bus stopped. After researching all the bus stops we then designed the following:

Icons for the different kind of Bus Stop:

-For the Metro Station annex

-For when the Bus Stop ocurred in both sides of the streets 

-For the "You are here" actual Bus Stop.

-etc.

For each Bus Route, two shades of the same color mark the direction of the route.
