Señalización Zoológico San Juan de Aragón

Fully functional signals were designed , which retake the prehispanic elements used in the logos of the different zoos in Mexico City , giving character and identity to this institution. We sought to mimic the signals in space, while visibility recover at some points. And we have implemented a color code that responds to the problem of identifying areas in which we find ourselves.

The choice of colors is based on the main colors used in some pre-Hispanic codices and illustrations as are yellow orange , blue green, yellow orange and green . Having a chromatic gray base , which helps to blend perfectly with the colors already mentioned and ergonomically provides less fatigue to the eye, reducing the bounce of light in an open field where direct sunlight hits . With the combination of these colors was created a color code to distinguish perfectly areas or regions where the zoo is divided .

It has built a modular system which consists of a main signal measuring 20 x 60 units, measures that allow us to have a good control in content , readability and leibilidad apart thereof and has the particularity to be used in different directions and shaped rotating mirror to accommodate as required due to space constraints .

The main signal is supplemented by a panel measuring 50 x 70 units , for a total of 60 x 90 units , whose purpose is to contain technical specifications of the animals, or they can be used to display site maps , or used to contain general directories or zone .

he combination of these two signals gives us the ability to standardize signals in space and create different types of signs. All this is possible thanks to the ability to be scaled without losing proportionality.
