A favorite movie of mine is "Closer". I hope you've watched it and you notice the lips in pink that Natalie Portman has in the movie when she is a dancer.
The idea behind the letters is that they are "close" to you and united - as the meaning in the film.

It represents the fake social environment we all leave in. Realizing the truth - "there is no spoon". "Then you'll see that it's not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself".
