An outdoor enthusiast’s playground lies right outside of Metro Vancouver, between West Vancouver and the Sunshine Coast. A place where British Columbia’s luscious forests meet the Pacific Ocean. From painting with off-the-grid artists, coming face-to-face with a Pacific giant octopus to riding a gondola 885m above sea level to arrive at magnificent views of mountain ranges and blue ocean. There’s adventure waiting for everyone.
As there is a combination of sea and land activities, it was only right to pay homage to both of these attributes in the logo for this amazing location on earth. Within a diamond-like shape, each corner directs to the cardinal points of the planet and simple lines represent the mountains and sea. The simplicity of the line art is to make the logo as versatile as possible. This way, the logo can be manipulated to emulate all of the activities the Sound has to offer.
In the variations below the main logo there are the activities either related to land or sea by incorporating the corresponding portion of the main logo (mountains or waves) into the design.
