A Collection Catalogue

As a university project, we were assigned to create and design a catalogue that displays a collection we may have or take interest in. The catalogue could take form in any format and material.
After a long hard thought and questioning what all I have in my life, i came to the conclusion that I have an over abbundant supply of nail polishes and etiquette tools that have been collected over the years. So i decidied to create a catalogue that focuses on my collection of nail etiquette.

But a commercial catalogue on a beauty product was not really something the authorities had in mind, so I decided to base the catalogue on the history of nail polish and tools, dating all the way back to 500 BC.
The amount of interesting facts and history behind nail polish was truely intruiging and really captured not only my attention, but other viewers as well. The information a managed to research and gather, was put together in a timeline kind of design, where i would re-cap roughly on nail polish from the 18th century straight through to the 21st.

The catalogue is small format, and is folded into a square, in which when one opens it, the timeline is revealed in a larger scale, landscape format. All photographs taken for the design of the catalogue are my own and were captured and designed specifically by me.
