'The Better You' Manifestos

As part of the 'Merzbox' project, the first of my third year at University. I created a set of manifestos in response to my interpretation of Kurt Schwitters fairytale 'The Three Wishes' and its comments on our materialistic version of happiness.
The manifestos were designed for a single individual and the text inside is made from the slogans of the brands who make their favourite or most important possessions. The text is then organised to form a motivational speech as the user flicks through the pages.
The manifestos use three colours as the basis of its design. The colours used, whilst simple, are the three most motivating colours for a variety of reasons, all discovered through my research.
As the manifestos were designed for individual people I decided to make them pocket size, meaning the owner could carry it around during the day and use it as a form of motivation.
Each manifesto uses the same typeface and pattern in order to link them together.
The typesetting of each page is designed to represent the text on that page. I wanted to make it so the pages were as different and interesting as possible.
