This project started with no context, which lead to focusing on the actual design of a space. We were allowed to define our own parameters. Therefore we chose to not interpret this space as a closed setting, but as a sheltered condenser where everybody feels welcome at any time. The structure that provided shelter was created by slicing a random polygon in the landscape and by folding it into three pieces. This structure covers two multi-functional squares, separated by a relief of stairs. The larger square offers a place for receptions, events and parties. The second one that is positioned lower serves as a place for small performances and acts.

Additionally we designed and constructed a context model on site with scale 1:1, to visualize the impact. This simple model was created with the use of large helium filled balloons and some ribbon. We also made smaller context model on scale 1:500 that is made of 3mm MDF using the techniques of laser-cutting.
