The 2015 football poster kicked off the Cowboy State branding campaign for Oklahoma State Athletics in 2015-16.
The poster marks a pretty radical departure from the standard "schedule poster" -- not including a schedule at all. This poster was also positioned as a marketing asset, instead of a reward for seniors or outstanding players, allowing dramatic photography of a single subject to be the focus of the piece, rather than trying to figure out a way to include multiple student-athletes. I feel like all of this makes for a stronger image, and one that fans might want to keep on their walls for years to come. The 2015-16 Cowboy State posters for Oklahoma State's other sports follow the same philosophy and theme.
