Custom Shamrock for an up and coming Irish Band. I promote the band by providing them with artwork for their branding and image. This was primarily created with a pen tablet in Photoshop and airbrushed. Some original vector artwork was created for the shamrock to begin the project.
This is a digital art piece created for a personal gift. The final piece was custom framed and printed on canvas and then laminated for extra appeal. This piece was a black and white picture of the Bay Bridge. I added sepia color mask and blended the water swirl from a stock pic of a pouring cup of coffee. The translucent drops were added for extra effect. To complete the rendering I shaded and lightened certain areas of the piece using the dodge and burn brushes...
This was a package design piece created as a promo item to hand out to customers for this print shop. Obviously, the piece resembles that of a Skittles candy wrapper. However, this piece was created entirely from vector art in Illustrator. Each individual piece of candy all the lettering and shading were feathered and drop shadows added to duplicate the effects from the original packaging.
This is a custom Bulldog Mascot created for the Band. It started with a sketch of the bulldog. Then the sketch was scanned, redrawn and color rendered in Illustrator. The symbol in the background is also vector art and was created from an existing political IRA symbol. Finally each piece of art was layered in Photoshop and final effects were applied.
This was a custom 30 foot banner created for this annual event in Sacramento, CA. This piece was created entirely in Photoshop. Nothing really spectacular or challenging about the creation. It was the small details in the color blending that really made it come alive...
This was a custom moose created for Drinkwear clothing for the International Sportsman Expo. Just a quick sketch rendered in Illustrator. The flying Bottle cap was finished with the 3d perspective tool to give it more dimension.
This was a B/W sketch created by one of my associates. The final piece was cropped to just the face and colors and flames were added with the pen tablet and Airbrushed in Photoshop.
This was a random piece of artwork created for a filler piece on a brochure or web banner. This was created in Photoshop using 3D layers for dimension, then basic lighting effects and reflections were added into separate layers for finalizing the project.
My newest Tailgate promotion. Just because you are doing an ad, doesn't mean you can't add an artistic flair to it. Never forget to add your artistic flair, your designs will just fall flat.
I designed and created a bomber wrap resembling an old fighter plane back in 2009! Everyone seems to appreciate this one, so I thought I'd share!
This was a new tailgate design concept for a promotion I am running here locally. Many Elements were involved in creating this piece. The background pic was created by using the left 1/3rd of the pic and reflecting and stretching a duplicate layer. Then the layers were blended and bushes removed/added on either side to blend the theme.
On the valley in the center, I used a fully detailed celtic cross and background that I vectorized( for higher quality) and free transformed the image to lay across the valley floor. The crosses in the background were vectorized images that I created by tracing random pictures of the holy cruciifx. Then I created the highlighted light burst on another layer by changing the opacity of a white oval shape and applying a brush to the edges.
The cross in the center was found online, then outlined and various blending effects applied to make it stand out.
More to come, fun project!
