Lina Selander is representing Sweden at the Venice Biennal 2015, with the solo exhibition Excavation of the Image – Imprint, shadow, spectre, thought in the Swedish Pavilion at Arsenale. Lina Selander is one of Sweden’s most innovative moving image artists. Her works revolve around images as memories, imprints and representations.
The exhibition catalogue is published by Moderna Museet and Koenig Books, and was launched at the opening of the Venice Biennale in april 2015. Ritator was comissioned to design the exhibition catalogue. In line with the artists way of deconstructing images and image related objects such as the camera, Ritator decided to remove the front end-paper from the book binding process.
