These images were taken with a Calumet View Camera using 4"x5" black and white negatives. The negatives were developed in the dark room and then scanned into a computer. A light meter was used to set the exposure.
When using a normal DSLR camera, pictures of buildings often display keystoning properties where the parallel lines of the buildings look they were converging. But a view camera can correct the converging lines through all of the tilt and swing movements of the view camera.
Below are some images taken for a thematic series on the Disappearing Barns of Wisconsin. The view camera using black and white film was the perfect medium to capture these barns before they disappear.
