The objective of this project is to visually convey information about an individual in the world of science, introducing biographical content and explaining their contributions. I chose Maria Mitchell, the first female professional astronomer and fierce advocate for equality of education. I detailed the story of her most monumental discovery, the world's first telescopic comet, and how it uniquely intersected with another astronomer's claim to the same discovery.
