This project aimed to create a special or limited edition for the Halfway House's own brand whiskey, using factors from their history and heritage.
The packaging draws from the history and legend from the alleyway that the pub is situated in called Fleshmarket Close. Blood prints, cooking twine, linking to the butchers markets that used to happen in the close. Historic maps, old stories, reports, rumors all make up the history of the close and are used within this piece. The user is also encouraged to use a magnifying glass to properly investigate the whiskey, hints at ties with Ian Rankin's book 'Fleshmarket Close'
