This composition shows the principle of rhythm (repetition) and the use of grids in design. My composition consists of diverse shapes in blue, dark and light green, red, and yellow, arranged on a black background with a white grid.

My intention was to create contrast between the figures and its background, reason for which I chose to use such colors.

 

The principle of repetition or rhythm is shown because there is a pattern of squares along the composition's margin, and another pattern of red squares in a diagonal form. Also there is the recurrent mill-like shape in different colors.

Notice that everything is organized according to the structure of the grid.
