Sony Mobile packaging evolution, part 2.

The packaging design is carried out in close cooperation with design collegues, packaging engineers, marketing and branding.

Accessory packaging

Leaving the romboid packaging shape and replacing it with a form that is more retail friendly. The large product name is visible at a distance in retail. The QR code with additional product information is placed on the back of the packaging for easy access. The vibrant colors are used as contrasts to the products that most often are either black or white. The backside carries additional information and images.
Phone packaging

The square black Sony logo is replaced with a new Sony logotype. 
 
The simple and clean design reflects the iconic design of the product. The large white front makes the product photo stand out and speak for it-self in a busy retail environment. The side panels reflects the color and/or material of the product and also carries the product name. 

Different materials and construction solutions are applied on different price segments. The backside carries additional information and images.
