I wouldn't call the "Uglyface" a popular circuit among DIYers, but that's almost certainly its only domain. The Uglyface is a nasty fuzz with a tone generator built in, which wobbles accoring to your pick attack. The Machette is an expansion of this feature, adding an LFO to modulate that added tone according to a set rate and depth instead of your pick attack. Of course this add-on is switchable so you can go back to original mode.
This thing sounds like nothing else on the market. Because it reminds me of a chainsaw, I've added Leatherface to really hammer home that thinking. When you set it to LFO mode, his eyes light up in time with the oscillation. Dig it.
