CYANOMETER // 2.0

a b o u t //

A cyanometer is an instrument for measuring 'blueness', specifically the colour intensity of blue sky. It is attributed to Horace-Bénédict de Saussure and Alexander von Humboldt. Saussure invented the cyanometer in 1789. The cyanometer had 53 sections from white to dark blue/black. In this project my intention was to create a non-convencional weather-app which is based on the sky colors. The app refers to the classic cyanometer, but there are other options to use RGB or CMYK. This project is the new version of my Cyanometer App concept.

A smartphone- or webcamera takes pictures about the sky, then it defines the main color of the picture. In that way, it is possible to create a color-map of the countries.
