I met Carl in Goa, where I currently live. Carl is one of the founders of OnePlus. We started talking about the possibilities of me making wallpapers for the next OnePlus phone. I got really hooked, I mean how cool would it be to make official wallpapers for a phone that so many people will use. So I got in touch with the team and started working on the wallpapers.
I didn't expect to be making the default one, just a few gallery wallpapers. Mostly because I didn't have that much free time and I felt like I would be to restricted working on the default. But after making a few wallpapers, I accidentally started making the default since they didn't seem to like the ones I created. But that was because the team actually thought I was aiming for the default, the ones I made didn't have the qualities a default wallpaper must have.
So I spent a lot of days working on the default wallpaper while talking to Arz back at OnePlus and ended up making this:
It was a great experience and I learnt a lot in the process. So in the end, 5 gallery wallpapers and the default wallpaper for the OnePlus 2 was submitted. It felt great! And later, after announcing the OnePlus 2, a blog post was posted on the OnePlus blog about me and my wallpapers. I started getting a lot of emails from people thanking me for making the wallpapers. Pure joy! I love you guys! :D
