Paris is a wonderful city, as any "metropolis" it has offers for anyone, independently of taste, race, age, pocket and political affiliation. But it is always difficult to distinguish real Paris from the touristic postcard, since the entire city is full of turists all year round...
This was my first attempt to observe the city from inside with locals, and what a difference. I finally felt the city charm, specially at night. Behind the postcard there is a true Parisian way, that is relaxed, seductive and likes to enjoy the simples pleasures of life. As a friend replied when I asked what do you do around here at night? "We drink wine and eat cheese!". That is good enough for me...
ut I still have a lot to go.. The time was short to visit the residential and industrial suburbs...another time!
