UNVEILED

Unveiled is the name of the project which was organized by young and talented Finnish designers from Lahti Institute of Design and Fine Arts. Unveiled participated DMY Berlin in June 2015. I am the graphic designer of this project. I did everything from flyers and invitations, to the tapings of the bus, in which we travelled in from Lahti, Finland to Berlin, Germany. This is probably the most interesting project I’ve done so far. I got to be really creative through out this whole project and that kept me really motivated and excited.

I took elements from the backside of the flyer and the introduction text at the front page of the flyer, for the tapings of the bus. The bus got a lot of attention and some people even took pictures of the bus on the road and posted them to our Unveiled Facebook page.

The Unveiled logo is completely done by me. I designed the typeface for it and did it in adobe illustrator. I wanted it to have clean and sharp lines but still a bit interesting. I especially like the letter E.
The group of designers told me that they wanted to be represented as a group, but sill as individuals. That gave me the idea to the wobbly lines and the circles with furniture in them; same lines, same thickness but when altered, it comes something completely different and stands out.

We also sent out 150 invitations to different kind of people who inspired us. Some of them were students and some of them were big companies.

Overall everything went really well. A lot of people came to DMY and they were really excited about our exhibition. The graphic identity showed in the exhibition structure and in the bus tapings. We painted a big Unveiled logo to couple of walls in our exhibition so it would show even from a greater distance. The exhibition structure was painted with the same pink colour as in the flyer. This was a great experience and I learned a lot of important and useful things.
