Trying to capture the lunchtime crowd and to promote the new burgers, we created a "Clockburger" promotion. The premise was simple: your burger would be ready within 12 minutes or it's free. We wanted to communicate that we could provide a quicker option than our customers may have been used to. I created various stencils that were chalked onto the nearby sidewalk using a spray-on chalk. This gave it the appearance of spray paint, without the legal issues. It was a quick, effective guerilla marketing tactic.
