I volunteered to make the announcement card for the Spring Graduating Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition. In order to represent everyone and their work in a different way rather than images of their work, I asked everyone to choose a word or two that describes them or their work. Creating the imagery for the card turned into a collaboration; two other graduates and I painted the words, and another took most of the pictures. I took a couple because I had a specific method (a second-long exposure that allowed Katy [play] to turn her head, showing the word written across both sides of her face). Making a poster, an ad in The Jambar and a vinyl banner to be displayed on the front of the McDonough Museum of Art, where the exhibition was held, were included in the project.
