Desi Latin Tees is the venture of my Salsa instructor, Hitesh Teckchandani. This originated in Kolkata and word spread around during India Fiesta Latina, while most dancers sported these T shirts.
The idea of "shut up & salsa" came from a social dancing situation. The tone can be perceived in many ways - a strict instructor, an encouraging dancer trying to break the ice, or for someone who talks a lot while dancing.
"Hum tum ek kamre main bandh ho" is a very popular bollywood song of the 70s. It means, let's get locked in the room and the keys can get lost. But for the quote of this idea was, let's get locked in a room and dance Salsa. Here Latin meets Bollywood!
