The goal of this project was to pick a theme defining time, and make a non-traditional calendar. Using the elements of typography, this calendar deals with the social issue of North Korean refugees. Each month follows the journey of North Korean refugees from North Korea to the third countries mostly South Korea for their freedom and safety. I want to tell how North Koreans have been abused their human rights in their own country. And many North Koreans have been trying to find their human right back at the risk of their death. I chose the color of each month to get brighter. Through such a variation of color, I want to express although the life of people in North Korea seems like darkness, isolating from all the light, there are many people out there who begin and help the journey toward the light.
