po' tential
This project is a personal concept that centers around the concept of money vs. talent and the struggle to make it. It is dedicated to the unbreakable underdog who is a diamond in the ruff. For symbolic imagery I use the metal of copper and the common penny for their often overlooked and/or under appreciated values. Potential is a statement to, and about, the economic times we live in. The concept of money has skewed the human experience and has weakened humanity's culture. Potential is the hope and the equalizer- the one chance that you give yourself that none else will. Whether it be the inspiration of the rags-to-riches story or; simply the power of seeing inside one's self his, or her, own ability to be more than what our short-sighted society has designated them to be. "Potential" is everything and we all strive, in our own way, to make it kinetic in effort to succeed & create.
