Road Trip to Forks, Washington for Bella Swan's Birthday Weekend....
I am a Twilight fan. I have read the books and watched the movies. So, I guess I had to make a trip to Forks, Washington. The second weekend in September the town of Forks, Washington welcomes all Twilight fans by celebrating Bella Swan's birthday. Fans can visit the visitor center where the town locals gives them a map of the houses of the Swans, Cullens and the Blacks. Then the fans can walk the town and get a sense of being in Forks, Washington, and drive to La Push to visit the Indian Reservation. The weekend is full of fun activities where the local high school puts on a film festival of all the Twilight movies. A car contest where fans can decorate their cars in favor of Jacob or Edward. Then the local library holds a book drive and the local bar has a look-a-like contest to see who can look like the characters in the Twilight books. The last day of my visit the local park in town held a market place where Twilight Fans can buy surveniors of their visit and listen to a local band. On the way back I visited the Twilight Fan store in the middle of downtown forks where you can buy clothes, calendars, posters, and jewerly. I left with a feeling that I had experienced the true Forks and as a Twilight fan that was an ideal weekend getway to help the town celebrate Bella Swan's birthday. So, if you are in the area visit Forks, Washington and experience the Twilight Saga that has held a special place in the heart of it's fans.
