Lighthouse Luxury Accommodation Branding

Brief: To design the identity for Lighthouse, luxury accommodation on Waiheke Island.  
The design included making business cards, letterhead, compliment cards, room keys and tags to go on the bathroom toiletries.
 
With the Lighthouse being luxury accommodation, I wanted to create a premium high-end look that has a personalised touch that comes with luxurious things.  
 
As it was named the Lighthouse, having a nautical feel was appropriate. I brought in the blue/green watercolour backgrounds to bring another element that had the feel of being by the sea.
These are the workings of coming up with the hand rendered type for the Lighthouse logo. I choose to pick a hand rendered type, as I was wanting to create a personalised feeling to the logo for the luxury accommodation.
This rope pattern was made using the knot which was a free vector off the internet.  The anchor and wheel were made using different shapes in Illustrator.  
 
The full rope pattern was done by painstakingly putting all the knots down on an A4 page and then connecting them with the straight rope sections.  Each straight rope section in to link up the knots had to be put in individually and it took about 3 days to make.  Definitely a larbour of love.
