Why cannot beer labels be an art medium?
For this years Visual Communication Research Project I have chosen to focus on the beer label as an art medium.
The project is about research and develop knowledge to a self chosen subject within the visual communication industry.
The goal was to gain a understanding of the development of the hand drawn labels and the different methods that are being used. The focus became to explore and visualize the desing and illustrations as an piece of art.
To visualize the labels as an piece of art I choose to make the book in A2 and to create a contrast from the tiny label format. As the beer industry is an hand made empire I made the book by hand.
