Moo: Design Works Wonders | YCN Student Awards 2014
For this college based project, we were given the option of working on a selection of chosen briefs set by the YCN as part of our External Project module, which involved producing work for clients and companies (or even entering competitions) that were based outside of the college.

For this project, I chose to take part in producing a new selection of graphic design based pieces that would visually communicate Moo's new slogan "Design Works Wonders". To do this, I wanted to focus on Moo's very own range of banners that would be seen on their Facebook and Twitter pages.

Although Moo sell a range of business cards, letterheads, envelopes, flyers, notebooks, and greetings cards, my concept would focus on the many things that people would associate with in the world of supplies and stationary. I felt that choosing a range of objects and tools that are associated with stationary would be a good idea to express how these objects and tools themselves are all carefully made and well though-out pieces of design.

Printers, scissors, coffee cups, and even sticky-tape were all, at some point, subject of trial and error before becoming a range of household supplies that would make people's lives easier, and save them hours of fustration and hard work. Therefore, using these tools within the banners would be a good way of expressing how design itself has "worked wonders" into the lives of so many artists and business workers.

Below are a selection of banner designs, Facebook mockups, and unused designs.

This is a non-commercial project.
