Film Booklet - Fantastic Mr. Fox

Adobe Photoshop, InDesign
When i chose this film, I knew that Wes Anderson’s extensive use of flat space camera moves, obsessively symmetrical compositions, a deliberately limited color palette, and hand-made art direction often utilizing miniatures. And from this style, i thought that if i were to make a book out of it, it will gonna be “playful” and “fun”. So, for the first page of the book, i decied to illustrate the main characters of the movie and use wooden texture in warm brown because in the movie, Mr Fox and his family stayed in the tree.

I wanted to follow closely with the flow of the movie as I thought the storyboard was amazing. Also, for important events of the movie, I will use two pages to grab the attention of the reader for example chapter 05.
Throughout the book, I used squares to segregate the chapter and chapter title from the images/screenshots and that will allow the reader to know which chapter he is on.

In certain pages, I decided to duplicate or divide the images to further express the scene on what is going on and try to re-create the same experience too.

The last page of my booklet, I dedicated the design of the page with the fictional game from the movie, Whack-Bat because I thought that it is one of the scene that capture most of my attention and it has the “fun” elements in it.
