Today the computers are closed and the inner parts are more and more unaccessible. Most of the people use them without knowing how it works.
MOIO is an open source computer project that is dedicated to schools. It gives to the student a tool to learn about the hidden side of computers by reopening the machine. MOIO is modular and consists of a single board computer (SBC), a screen, a keyboard and, most importantly, offer a template for any kind of electronic project.
*This device celebrates the components of the computer and allows the student to learn in an entertaining and understandable way. The computer offers 2 layers, the first one for the interaction and the second one for the engine, the SBC.
*By opening the first layer you have access to the screen and the keyboard as a regular computer for coding and programming.
*By removing the second layer we can access to the heart of the SBC, a Raspberry Pi B+ in that case.
*The standard inputs/outputs of the SBC are extended to the outside of the case.
*The other side offers a slot which allows to plug the SBC to any electronic project in a non disruptive way.
