Responding to an increasing need to house social and cultural differences due to the great growth of immigration in the last ten years, the City of Helsinki is obliged to provide proper infrastructure to the Caisa association (www.caisa.fi), which from the 90's has helped immigrants to integrate Finnish society and freely express their culture.
For that reason a new cultural centre is planned to be build in Hakaniemi seashore.
