Sound Central: Afghanistan

The logo created was based on the arabic letters S and C which refers to the name of the festival Sound Central. Part of the brief was to use our own imagery/photographs, which needed to incorporate textures.

I have created a website for Kabul sound central. I have created an Ipad version because this website would also work well for touch sensitive parts, such as using your finger and selecting the panel to scroll up and down. Each panel has a different section to view. You can slide each panel up and down at any time to view what’s next. You can either select the scroll bar to move the panel and view the information, or you can select the panel.

There are also A5 pocket cards which I have created. Each pocket card contains the name and description of each band, and i have based the design on each of the 7 artist attending the music festival.

Each pocket card has its own handmade elements, the imagery on the cards I have photographed and edited, and also scanned.

I have used the same typeface throughout so this wouldn’t separate them in any way, and they link. The typeface I have used is called Valencia.

I wanted to create pocket cards instead of leaflets, this feels more exciting to have, when sent through the post. Its also good to keep when attending the festival and you can refer back to each card when each artist is on.

I have created unisex t-shirts which can be purchased at the festival in theme with the arabic style colours and type.
