Beehive
light modulator
Beehive is a light modulator derived from the tessellation of a surface and greatly inspired by the honeycomb structure. The hexagonal form is made of laminated paperpolypropylene and acetate, which includes in it a group of signs. Each model will be similar to others for the morphology, but remarkable for placement of signs. The modules are connected together using a joint element consists of a hexagonal box section, which are inserted into the ends of the forms.
By filtering the light, creating environments Beehive revives charming drawings with shadows, allows for unique combinations and suitable for any eventuality. There are many possible solutions. Using Beehive in the most appropriate scale, the patterns obtained can be generated with one or more light-oriented, circumscribe spaces without fixed divisors, create covers for architectural spaces without impeding the passage of sunlight, or compose beautiful urban furniture
