For this final art culminating activity, we were given the medium Plexiglas, which I have never worked with. I decided to make this piece very personal and focused on my contradictory personal traits. I’m usually a well-organized person that always follows the rules, but on the inside I like the freedom in creating art pieces and my room can be really messy when I work on art assignments. On one side of the Plexiglas, I used a geometric pattern to represent organization and rules, but the detailed feather pattern also portrays the ideas of freedom and the desire to break away from the rules. The other side is a drawing of my messy desk when I paint, but the drawing itself it’s done in very neat lines, which shows my mixed personality.
