YCN: Yorkshire Tea

The brief was to create a new product innovation for Yorkshire Tea. Yorkshire has a strong industrial history and people from Yorkshire are often stereotyped as hard-working. I applied this to a modern-day context and thought about the classic builder’s brew, and so I decided to create packaging based off builders tools.

This project received a commendation from YCN for their European Student Awards in 2014/15.

This packaging would be sold in hardware stores such as B&Q. They would be displayed alongside essential DIY products such as nails. The packaging aims to replicate that of packaging for screws, and I tried to use language that would reflect the four different types of tea Yorkshire Tea sells whilst still relating to the language used on screw packaging.
The multipack of tea has been designed to look like a toolbox. It would contain multiple smaller packs within.
