Brief
This brief asks you to explore the potentials of new and emerging digital technologies as a graphic designer. Your task is to design and propose a "product". Your product might be an app, a platform, a scalable service or an information experience.
Through research, you will need to identify an actual audience and its "problem" to answer this brief successfully. Through your understanding of this audience and technological opportunities, you will develop a creative concept for your product and its commercial or social value.
Our Final Outcome
As a team, we wanted to identify a problem which we could all relate to. We felt there was no place, physical or digital, where we could learn about a new designer or studio, or artist for example, on a regaulr basis.
Our final product is "Designed", an online app where the user can find out about a new industry professional within different areas of design. What's more, the user can submit questions which the industry professional could potentially answer. This allows for students and those interested in design to have a direct connection with those in industry. Each day, a new industry professional is featured, and the user can also view previous features, and the questions which were answered by the professional.
