Vodafone's Rising Stars Outtakes
My contribution to this promo (apart from writing the original script) was to hold one of the cue cards up backwards and ruin another take. The reedited footage made a much viewed 'Blooper Reel'. (You can see Bernard pointing and saying "backwards" at 0:55).
A re-edit of the various takes went on to become the third most watched Irish made video ad of 2011. Not bad when you consider the massive budget involved in putting together the other four others that made up the top five for that year. The majority of the others were big budget TV campaigns that found there way onto the net, whereas this content was only available online via the Vodafone Dub Hub YouTube channel.
People - Dub's fans in particular - seemed to enjoy seeing the players in a less guarded mood than they would normally.
