illuminé - Major group project

illuminé was proudly exhibited at the 2014 DkIT FÍS exhibition
The users walked around the trees to interact with the weather, making it rain, shine, snow and blow. There was even some thunder and lightening!
illuminé's projection took up an entire wall in the Carrolls Building. Shadows were cast by the interactive trees to create a truely magical, explorative atmosphere.
illuminé is a 3rd year major group project completed for exhibition at the FÍS exhibition as part of the Level 7 Communications in Creative Multimedia program at DkIT in 2014.

illuminé is an interactive, audio-visual experience which simulates the four seasons and aims to provoke reminiscence in the user.

Sían was head programmer for this project and along with her group members created an intercative projection using the open source programming language, Processing and connecting it with Arduino. The group used proximity sensors with Processing and Arduino, along with graphics made in Photoshop to create the interactive, immersive experience within a relaxing forrest of white, magical trees.
