Kulturhavn is Denmark’s largest harbour festival, featured each year during the first weekend of August.

The festival is free and open to all. Festivalgoers enjoy the opportunity to take active part in the variety of cultural experiences that include dance, music, children’s activities, water sports, theatre and the Secret Harbour Tours.

Kulturhavn lets you experience new aspects of Copenhagen’s amazing and varied harbour area. We aim to inspire visitors to discover and explore the docklands in all their contrasting charm and beauty. We have therefore made it easy to get around the harbour area during the festival with special Kulturhavn shuttle boats and Movia waterbuses – for free!

The 15th edition of Kulturhavn will be featured 7-9 August 2015.

My idea for the poster of festival focussed in what I experienced when visit Conpenhagen, when I enjoyed their culture and been in contact with their customs and population. I felt his mentality, hospitality, respect for nature and way of living life, after all is one of the happiest people and with better quality of life and could prove that. Art and culture are some of the most importante pillars of the Danish society and it verifies across the nation, with very rich monuments and artworks, since Classical to Contemporary.

The Simplicity and Minimalism, presents in Danish Design, are other facts that I had into account, along with the drop shape mask that symbolyzes the great light entries featuring in the Contemporany Danish Architecture pieces.
