This project is my bachelor thesis which deals with the change of reading behavior in the digital age. My approach has been to show the reading development from the origin of mankind till today in one book applying it on an existing story, without changing the wording or adding images. 
Knowing that we nowadays mainly retrieve information in a quick way, in the form of emails, WhatsApp messages, Facebook posts, or Tweets the question arises if there is still the need or even the time for a deep kind of reading. And if so, does the contemporary reader then fully understand the depth of words like those in Goethes Faust? 
This project is an attempt to motivate people to read in a more demanding way. It demonstrates new typographical approaches for ambitious literature on the first part of Faust using various reading methods.
